wachaDid you ever think to yourself “I have a bipolar daughter with addictions and don’t know how to help her. Any suggestions?” This is a common concern for moms and dads with a child facing addiction and bipolar. You may worry how to support them both mentally and emotionally.

The facts are that addiction is extremely tough on the parents. How do you help your child when they are battling severe addictions. When you add on mental illness the questions become even harder.

It helps to have support and to assess your situation. Is rehab a viable option? Is your child too old to be mandated to treatment? Is there any local support that has been working? How long have the addictions been a problem?

We don’t want to tell you that any of this is easy. It is so hard to watch your own child battle the demons of addiction. Our goal is to provide some tools that may help you experience better possible answers.
