Supporting Those With Mental Illness With Powerful Words

yogaWhen someone faces a mental illness they often are very sensitive. You have the power to uplift, inspire and encourage them with positive words. This may be as simple as saying you appreciate them.

When you take time to tell someone how special they are you may reignite their potential. Many of us face problems and issues which feel hard. The simple gesture of showing warmth often goes a great distance.

I spend each day calling or texting others who are experiencing a tough time. The best gift to them is to show that they are supported. It may be as easy as asking how they are doing, listening or telling them I feel blessed to help them.

This weekend you may find someone to help. It may be a relative, friend, or a person you encounter. The words you speak may have greater impact than we understand. You often help them remember the reasons they are important.
