I remember meeting Muhammad Ali as a young boy. He had several security but pushed them away to come talk with me. He was filled with light, energy and jokes. Ali kept living even with a severe bout of Parkinson’s Disease. This was a man with such strength and smooth speech in his youth.
The best boxer in history would not change having his gift of connecting with others. He would spend time greeting and talking to his fans. I find such strength from his decision. It would have been easy to hide or no longer be with others. He chose to face his problem head on and continue living life to the fullest.
If you are facing a hard time please don’t give up. I live with a mental illness but am making this a full and rewarding life. Do I struggle sometimes? The answer is yes but I am blessed to be alive. Each day is a gift and special. Please choose to show love and kindness to those around you. They need your smile and warm heart.
