Fighting With Darkness With Depression and Bipolar Disorder

heartI am usually optimistic and positive. This morning, I felt myself slipping into sadness and fear. There were a few moments where I didn’t know if I could handle these heavy emotions. I have had many coaching clients also share when they are really having a tough time. I always tell them that it often gets better and you have to just survive the hardest moments.

I took my own advice and took a few positive steps. I went to workout and made sure to eat a good lunch. I began to focus on the parts of my life that I wonderful. I remembered that all of us face problems and that we usually make it through. My mom came to visit and we had a great time talking and enjoying my two kids.

I now feel much better than before. It is in the heat of the tough situations you need to hold on. It is not always as dark as it feels. If you are proactive you likely will make it through. It is also important to seek help if you need it. It is much better to find support than to battle heavy emotions on your own. I wish you a wonderful weekend.
